Bloomsbury Quarter Construction: Anticipated Works

We have initiated our enabling works and are scheduled to commence the construction of a crane base during the week starting 13th November 2023. We wish to inform you that these activities will align with the temporary closure of Sicilian Avenue to all pedestrians during working hours, with daily reopening outside these times, for a minimum of four weeks. This closure is essential to guarantee the safety of the public.

We anticipate completion of our main construction works in summer 2025. Below you will find a list of upcoming activities and general information.

Construction Activities:

  • Noisy activities during the formation of the crane base

  • Enabling works to form the pitlane along 21 Southampton Row

  • Removal of materials and construction deliveries via the pitlane on 21 Southampton Row

  • Creation of a pedestrianised walkway along Vernon Place for access and egress, if required.

Equipment is being installed to regularly monitor and record the levels of noise, dust and vibrations.

General working hours:

In line with Camden Council policy, our working hours are:

·        Monday to Friday, 8am – 6pm

·        Saturday, 8am – 1pm

·        No works will be undertaken on Sundays or public holidays.
