Bloomsbury Quarter Construction: December 2023 & January 2024 Works

Dear Neighbour,

We are writing to provide you with an update on our project, Bloomsbury Quarter, previously referred to as the Holborn Links Estate, which primarily focuses on the refurbishment of 21 Southampton Row and Vernon and Sicilian House.

Current Construction Activities:

• Noisy activities ongoing during the formation of the crane base at Sicilian Avenue

• Enabling works to form the pitlane along 21 Southampton Row

• Removal of materials and construction deliveries via the pitlane on 21 Southampton Row

• Scaffold installation in progress.

Upcoming Works and Milestones

• The cyclist pitlane is expected to be completed and ready for use between the months of January and February 2024. It's important to note that cyclists can utilise the pitlane even outside of construction hours

• The crane will be arriving between January and February 2024

• Crane installation on Sicilian Avenue expected to be completed between January and February 2024.

Please note: Equipment is regularly monitoring and recording the levels of noise, dust and vibrations.

Christmas hours

The site will close at midday on Friday 22 December 2023. It will re-open on 2 January 2024. Should you witness any suspicious activity whilst the site is closed, please contact Project Director, Jim Tipple, whose contact number can be found further below.

General working hours:

In line with Camden Council policy, our working hours are:

·        Monday to Friday, 8am – 6pm

·        Saturday, 8am – 1pm

·        No works will be undertaken on Sundays or public holidays.
