Bloomsbury Quarter Construction: July 2024 Update

Dear Neighbour,

We are writing to provide you with an update on our project, Bloomsbury Quarter, previously referred to as the Holborn Links Estate, which primarily focuses on the refurbishment of 21 Southampton Row and Vernon & Sicilian House.

Construction Activities

·        New underground drainage works for both buildings are complete

·        New stair core blockwork infills are now under construction

·        The main core steel structure is now erected to level six and near completion

·        Repairs to sash windows are ongoing

·        Construction/rebuild of the lift overrun is close to completion

·        Construction of the new mansard extension structure is complete and ready for weathering

·        All high-level works to Vernon and Sicilian House is near completion

·        All low-level structural works are underway.

Construction Meetings

We hold regular construction meetings on-site to provide our neighbours with project updates and to answer any questions they may have.

General working hours:

In line with Camden Council policy, our normal working hours are:

·        Monday to Friday, 8am – 6pm

·        Saturday, 8am – 1pm

·        No works will be undertaken on Sundays or public holidays.
